In a move to scrutinize and ensure the sanctity of the media airwaves, the National Media Commission has taken some television channels off air.
Among the channels off include the infamous Obinim TV (OBTV) owned by Bishop Daniel Obinim the founder of the God’s Way International Church.
Other stations like Kessben TV, Angel TV, Care TV, Capital and Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom’s ATV.
Most of these channels are mainly on Multimedia’s Multi TV platform.
The NCA said the channels did not meet the necessary requirement to operate. At the time of publishing the owners of the stations were yet to issue a response to the decision.
