Despite some delectable football from the visitors, New Edubiase United, Hearts snatched the winner in the 77th minute of the game through Substitute Samuel Yeboah.
At the Tema Park, Star-studded Aduana Stars were whipped 2-0 by Inter-Allies while reigning league champions, AshantiGold edged past fellow Africa campaigners, Medeama SC by 2-1.
New entrants, Techiman City and Dreams FC managed to garner important victories while troubled Sekondi Hasaacas where lashed 3-0 in Wa by All Stars.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, WAFA beat Kotoko by 2-0 at the Sogakope Park to gain a glittering start to the season.
