Ghanaian singer, Noella Wiyaala has revealed that she’s afraid her role in her first movie, “No Man’s land”, will drive away men who are interested in her.

According to the singer who is described mostly as a tomboy, her role in the movie is very intense and hardcore which might give guys a different impression about her.

Wiyaala plays Dumuni a character on a mission to revenge her fathers death and stops at nothing including murdering anyone she thinks is connected with her father’s killing.

Speaking with the Graphic Showbiz, Wiyaala revealed that before coming into music, she had tried her hands on acting and modelling but knew that music was her true calling.

According to her, she was contacted by her cousin and producer of the movie, Salma Mumin with regards to her joining the cast but she initially hesitated since she didn’t know what to expect.

Wiyaala indicated that acting out her character was stressful due to the intensity of the character but she enjoyed every bit of it. She described staying in character as one of her biggest challenges on set.

“Playing an intense character like Dumuni was not an easy thing but having an experienced director like Pascal Amanfo to work with was extremely useful. We have to applaud actors, staying in character is very challenging.”

No Man’s Land will be premiered in Ghana on 13 February.
